MoFo prize run down
Since no one is reading this blog anymore anyway, I figure it's high time I write about prizes since that's the only reason I'm writing this blog anymore. I use the term 'writing' loosely.
So, I agreed to blog every single day for 30 days (because November has 30 days in it, I'm so glad it wasn't October). In exchange for this un-service to humanity I am entered into a drawing for like a forty prizes. Most of them are just based on chance but occasionally there's something extra. And while many prizes are rather fringe things I would want there are some that I cannot live without. (without, cannot live: see Hoagie 2006).
So, here are the prizes I'm excited about:
1. Emily is offering one pound of homemade, gourmet dog treats to from her own "Doggie Bags" kitchen to the person who writes the best dog-related post.
Now I have yet to actually write a dog-related post, but I will. Mark my word, I want me some homemade gourmet dog treats.
2. JohnnyDee is kindly offering a hand-knitted blanket to a randomly chosen blogger under the age of 25.
OOoo! Pick me! I'm under 25 and plaguing the world with my posting everyday. I totally deserve a hand-knitted blanket.
3. Ree will send a randomly-drawn winner a $75.00 Border's gift card.
$75! Do you realize what I could buy with that?! At least half a camera. Oh, wait. Do you realize what I could buy with that?! Books! All the book I want! Book spree!
4. A sock money!
OMG! So cute!
5. Lynnster is giving a set of authentic Memphis barbecue sauce and dry rub rib seasoning from Memphis, Tennessee's famous Corky's BBQ. Each winner can have his or her choice of the regular/mild or the hot/spicy.
Dear Lynnster, hot/spicy please. Memphis 4=eva!
Love, Abigail

Good luck! I was just looking at the list of prizes, thinking what I'd like to win. :)

before i clicked the link for it, i really momentarily believed that someone was sending a winner a sock full of MONEY. for that brief moment, i was totally mad i didn't participate in the torture of every day writing. i mean, even if it was just a sock full of pennies, it would have been a funny prize. but the monkey is totally cute.

Sock money? That's awesome! Cause socks seem like a stupid thing to spend regular money on. But if it was free money you could buy like, a months worth of Christmas socks. And then when people gave you shit about all your Christmas socks you'd be all "whatever man. I WON these socks."
Oh. Wait. Sock Monkey.
Nevermind.

Going for the sock "money" all the way - that's my girl.
WHO needs a monkey made of socks? You had one of those when you were a infant. I have photos to prove it. Glad to see it made an impression. Glad to see money made an impression also.
How about filling one of those monkeys with money??

Thank you again, Abigail M, for saving my life. :)

Oh, dear. My lazy time actually got me in trouble this time.
Nanette, it's a good thing it's a random drawing otherwise we'd have to fight each other! Of course, if you get any of the above I might have to fight you.
Elizabeth, maybe I'll make a Sock Money as my gift to the bloggers. Hmmm, stay tuned for details.
Jenn, this one time I got like a million socks at Costco for only $7 and I was SO EXCITED. And all my friends were like, "Abigail, you're so lame, they're just socks." I should have been like "whatever, man, it's like I WON these SOCKS." You know, because they were so cheap.
Sal, if we filled a monkey with money then it would be too heavy to put on our feet. Wait.
Heather Anne, I wouldn't want you to miss a chance at winning a sock money.

Whenever anyone writes, ". . .since that's the only reason I'm writing this blog anymore," I think that's a sign that the blogging end is just around the corner. One day I'll come here (or rather my RSS feed will be sent to me) and see a post that says "So long, suckas."
Please don't do this.

I have to admit to being super! psyched for the prizes, too. I'm just sort of pumped in general, not even for me winning. I'm used to not winning, but the idea of someone winning all of those neat-o gifts, is, well, neat. Wow, I think the excessive turkey consumption is rapidly shrinking my vocabularly. ; )

LAZY TYPING. SOMEONE TAKE THE KEYBOARD AWAY FROM ME.
Gary, I promised to do Holidalies too. So I'm around for at least another month. And probably until I have something better to do with my time.
Kerrianne, my sentiments exactly! I'm all, "someone I know HAS to win." You know, because of the odds. I hope you win. But if you get the BBQ you have to share.

Well, I'm gonna start a rumor that Abigail is giving away a sock of money if you get one new person each day to post a comment on her blog!!!
