Lost and Found
I lost my keys tonight in Target. I walked into Target with the keys and walked out of Target without them. Then I walked back into Target and went through the whole store again twice (even the aisle with the fun house mirror that we used when trying clothes on because hello flattering reflection) and found no keys. So, hopefully Target will find them while I'm gone.
And, of course, the reason I lost them is because I'm leaving for DC tomorrow. I LOSE MY MIND before I travel. We like to call this the pre-trip spazz.
But who cares?! I'm leaving for DC tomorrow! Woooo!
Packing was a total beast and I've only just finished, having spent all evening on it. But Patrick kept me company through the whole process and knew when to compliment me.
Yes, my underwear system is total anal retentive. But look how cute they are all lined up!
Last night my mom and I went shopping for a winter coat for a long time. We didn't find one because I didn't really care and I just don't have the shopping stamina that she carries. But tonight when I was at Target (scene of the crime), I found a jacket.
See, that's the fun thing about this blog. One minute you read that I want a red scarf and jacket and the next minute I've acquired it all.
Black wool peacoat, gray wool skirt, red scarf, red hat, and booooots (and middle of the night expression). Carolyn and Heather crafted me the scarf and hat. It was great; I threw yarn at them and then actually made things from it. Like magic.
Magic like the way money disappears from my bank account.

Wow! Sweet! What would we ever do without our chums and chumettes? Did Carolyn and Heather go to a Catholic school for girls by any chance where they were taught these lady-like skills?
I hope you have an enjoyable trip!

so happy for your coat and ensemble (and you too!)
Should we send some winter clothes back to Southern California with ya? Reason I ask is that more and more of you and your chums need cold weather gear for business trips.
Can't wait to see you. Maddie and Checkers are still in shock that I've returned. There life will become truly complete when you re enter it.
Can we start a tradition and Christmas decorate our new home?
