So This Is The New Year or The Resolution
I'm going to budget. As in have a budget. As in use a budget.
Hopefully this won't mean spending less money. This will mean keeping track of things and saving and keeping track of things. Hopefully, Courtney From Work (Hi Courtney!) will help me with this.
In Other News: I'm finally home home. I flew in Friday from Chicago, spent a night in my bed and woke up early early Saturday morning to get my oil changed before going to Temecula (Slogan: "we still have wigwams") for the holiday weekend.
Things accomplished in Chicago:
Met some fantastic strangers and went out to dinner with them in downtown Chicago. Had a blast; raced a train. Good times. Do I know their names? Nope.
Spent way too much money at fancy restaurant in downtown Chicago. Threw away all of the receipts because the budget (Hi Courtney!) hadn't started yet.
Read The Great Gatsby again but for the first time in years. I love that book.
Between Gatsby and strangers, I didn't get any anthropology done.
Got my Christmas letter done and sent sent sent. (I used rubber stamps, by the way. I just really felt the need to admit that.)
I chose a benefits plan. It does not include chiropractic. (Something interesting: when I get bitter, guess who I get bitter at? Not the insurance companies or the primary practitioner or even the chiropractors. Nope. I get mad at the people who can afford it. I hate them.)
Things accomplished in Temecula:
Held this very large cat. This cat isn't just fat, it's tall. Her His arms had a diameter of like four inches.
Slept a lot.
Watched a lot of TV.
Watched Hilary Duff host Rockin' Eve whatever. Educated everyone else on all the random things I know about Hilary Duff.
Quoted Friends. A lot.
Didn't help make dinner.
Saw The Family Stone.
Off-roaded in The Monster. (She liked it.)
Slept underneath a Christmas tree.

So by slept under a Christmas tree, you meant passed out, right? I need to know more about your New Year's celebration!

Actually, Ryan, I was aware of the proximity (I could smell your breath) and several times I thought we should somehow prank you. But then I thought, you know, that would require getting dressed and leaving the house and also, we're adults

temecula is a bustling metropolis compared to that pissant little settlement you call home, shaft.
sorry.
:-D

oh, and, welcome home, abigail. I left something for you on facebook(!).

Temecula does not still have wigwams! We never had any wigwams. Wigwams are a figment of your imagination!
And Teddy Bear is a boy. He does not like to be called her.

Sorry Cate, sorry Teddy. It's fixed now.
Don't deny the wigwams. Everyone knows it's true.
